ALCOHOL All competitors must have 0 alcohol in their system prior to racing. Competitors over 18 may drink alcohol after their race is finalized. Please drink responsibly. Should you require a taxi or need assistance following the event, please contact the 1800 Timber staff or ensure that you have a responsible person with you to assist. Under 18’s are not permitted to drink alcohol.
RACE ENTRIES Entries are limited and will be booked on a first come basis.
FOOTWEAR Competitors must wear closed footwear.
HAIR : If you have long hair, you will be asked to please tie it up in a hairband and wear a hairnet.
Competitors racing with Twin Engine Pro Karts must wear a racing suit and helmet. You are allowed to bring your own if you choose. All other entrants must wear a helmet
INDEMNITY FORMS – Drivers are reminded that go karting can be a dangerous recreational past time and injuries may occur. Please read the indemnity form carefully before approving
IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER – It is at the discretion of 1800 Timber to continue or abort the race event / party. Drivers will be permitted to continue if the precipitation is light and intermittent, but where constant rain falls, a decision to abort the event will be made by 1800 Timber. If the decision is to halt racing for the day, the event will be rescheduled to a date that is mutually agreeable and should the race have already started prior to rain falling and then aborted, the rescheduled event will include only the unfinished portion of your original booking.
REFUND POLICY – If your race is unfortunately cancelled or postponed, drivers will receive a replacement pass for the unused portion of your ticket, the replacement tickets are valid for 6 months from date of your original booking. Ride replacement vouchers may be offered in the case of inclement weather at the discretion of management.
No Show ; There are no refunds for no shows or change of mind. Your ticket is transferrable up to 24 hours prior to the event
Each Racing venue will have their own terms and conditions. Please refer to their websites terms and conditions as part of your registration when booking
Drivers under 18 will Race cars for 15-17 years of age will not be the same as 18 +.
Under 18’s will not be allowed to drink alcohol at any time during or after the event
1800 Timber reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of race entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at 1800 Timber’s discretion. Failure by 1800 Timber to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Entrants and where the Entrant is under 18 years of age (excluding the race competition) , the Entrant’s parent or guardian gives consent to 1800 Timber using the Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by 1800 Timber
Entrants for the event to win the cash prize is only open to Carpenters or Apprentice Carpenters who must be over the age of 18 to enter. 1800 Timber reserves the right to request Proof of Age on the day or at the time of entry. Any other entrants who are not Carpenters may choose to race after the competition on the day but will not qualify for the cash prize
The Carpenter who achieves the fastest time will receive $1000 in cash, paid by direct payment into the winner’s nominated bank account on or before 31 October 2016. The Apprentice that achieves the fastest time will receive $500 in cash, paid by direct payment into the winner’s nominated bank account on or before 31 October 2016
Any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant as a result of participating in the Event and potentially winning or being awarded a prize, is the responsibility of the Participant
1800 Timber ’s decision in the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into
1800 Timber and other Event organisers, in their absolute discretion, at all times reserve the right to: (a) prevent any Participant from participating in the Event if, at any time, they reasonably believe that the Participant poses a safety risk or for any other reason, including but not limited to, acting in a manner which is likely to bring 1800 Timber and/or any other Event organiser into disrepute, or is likely to cause harm to Participants, 1800 Timber ’s or other Event organiser’s employees, contractors or volunteers, or any other third party; and (b) cancel the Event if the conditions are deemed dangerous or in any other way unsuitable. If the Event is varied for any reason beyond the control of 1800 Timber it may not be rescheduled and no compensation will be offered.
It is a condition of entry that each Team member agrees that their image, and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the promotion (including but not limited to as part of the Event), may be broadcast and/or published by 1800 Timber worldwide in any media, including but not limited to, television, radio, internet, newspapers, magazines, or any other advertising or marketing in connection with this promotion and/or any future event, and the Team members will not be entitled to any fee for such use. Team members consent to any use of the above created materials in a way which may otherwise infringe their moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
If this Event is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of 1800 Timber , 1800 Timber reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Event, as appropriate, without responsibility or liability for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to any person.
Without in any way limiting any other provision in these Terms, and except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, 1800 Timber and any other Event organisers (including their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage to property (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Event, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under 1800 Timber ’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by 1800 Timber ) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of 1800 Timber ; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms; (e) if the Event is cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of 1800 Timber ; (f) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (g) participation in the Event; or (h) use of, or participation in the prize.
These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed according to the laws of New South Wales, Australia and references to times are references to the time in Sydney, Australia and Victoria , Australia and references to times are references to the time in Melbourne, Australia
1800 Timber collects personal information in order to conduct the race activity and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. 1800 Timber may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant, unless the Entrant is under the age of 18 years. 1800 Timber’s use of personal information is strictly limited to occasions related to the National Race of Champions and/or this promotion and all uses are subject to the approval of JazCorp Australia pty Ltd.
