WA Forest Communities Network – provides a structure for members within timber communities and communities of interest across West Australia. The mission of W.A. Forest Communities Network is to represent and act in the best interests of communities which are associated with forest and timber sectors in Western Australia and to foster a healthy and sustainable future for those communities and their associated forests.
Forest Products Commission WA (FPC) was established in November 2000. Its role is to develop, market and sustainably manage the State’s high quality renewable timber resources for the people of Western Australia. The Commission works with industry to deliver economic and social benefits in the regions.
FPC operates under an Act of parliament as a Statutory Authority. This enables the agency to engage in commercial forestry activities in State-owned native forests and plantations.
